Actor
Senthil Krishna seems to have been working out and growing out his beard for a gritty look in his upcoming movie Udumbu, which has him playing the lead character. The movie is directed by director
Kannan Thamarakkulam, who had helmed movies such as Aadupuliyattam, Achayans and Pattabhiraman.
Senthil, who was also part of Rajeev Ravi’s Kuttavum Shikshayum, have been sharing photos of his new look for the character.
On the movie, the director had earlier told us, “It’s a dark thriller, a genre that isn’t attempted much in Malayalam cinema. More than violence, the movie will be gritty and have elements dealing with dons, gangsters and thugs.”
The team has already started filming. “Senthil Krishna plays the lead character while
Alencier Ley Lopez, Hareesh Peradi, Dharmajan Bolgatty and a new artiste named Sajil essay the other important characters. It’s a movie that demands strong performances and hence the casting of these talented actors,” says Kannan, adding that debutante Angelina plays the female lead in the movie that has Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram as its main locations.
Udumbu’s title poster was released by Jayasurya a few days ago. The movie is scripted by Aneesh Sahadevan and Sreejith Sasidharan, who were earlier set to work with Kannan Thamarakkulam in another film titled Quarry.
Senthil, meanwhile, is also part of Kannan’s film Maradu 357 and Rajeev Ravi’s Thuramukham. Both the films were set to hit theatres in April 2020 but have been delayed to the pandemic.
