Shakeela not part of Sreebala’s film

For the past few days, news has been doing the rounds that Shakeela and Santhosh Pandit will essay prominent roles in actor Dileep’s upcoming project, directed by debutant Sreebala K Menon.
However, a source close to the team clarifies that the news is fake.
“The movie is a love story, and while we were discussing about presenting a TV chat show sequence in the film, the names of Shakeela and Santhosh Pandit came up as that of the interviewees.However, we decided not to rope them in,” says the source. The film is also scripted by Sreebala, who has assisted Sathyan Anthikad in many films.
Dileep plays a media personality in the movie, which also has Suhasini Maniratnam, journalist-cum-actor Sasikumar, actor-director Sreenivasan and Lena in prominent roles.
The heroine’s character will be played by a newbie. “The team has finalised the artiste for the role but is not ready to divulge more details about her yet. Currently, auditions to finalise the rest of the cast are in progress,” adds the source.
The film will start rolling on March 15 and has Kochi and Trivandrum as the main locations.
