Actor Shammy Thilakan, son of legendary late actor
Thilakan has sent a letter to A.M.M.A seeking to lift the disciplinary action taken against his father, at least now, years after Thilakan's death. Shammy in his letter mentions that his father's name is not even on A.M.M.A's souvenir list of actors who passed away.
Shammy in his letter expresses his hope on the newly elected A.M.M.A executive panel headed by
Mohanlal.
He says that he stayed away from attending A.M.M.A's general body meetings after the association discarded Thilakan's name from the list of actors who passed away.\
Meanwhile, Thilakan's letter to Mohanlal in 2010, explaining the democratic violations happening inside A.M.M.A was published by Thilakan's daughter Soniya a few days back.
Thilakan in that letter says that the silence kept by the association, when the rights of its members have been crushed, is a grave mistake by the actor's association. Thilakan also blames A.M.M.A being an association that supports violations of democratic values.
Thilakan was ousted from A.M.M.A following the actor's severe critics against the association.
