Shane Nigam stands by Vasudha’s decision in ‘Ishq’

One of the most promising actors of current time, Shane Nigam believes that his recent movie 'Ishq' had a perfect ending, standing by Vasudha’s decision. In a recent media interview Shane stated that any woman could have responded in the same manner that Vasudha’s character did in 'Ishq'. Supporting Vasudha's decision in the climax of the movie, Shane also added that he couldn't think of any other climax for the movie.Shane also stated that whatever happens in that situation was out of her control and consent.
Anuraj Manohar directed 'Ishq' questioned the patriarchal mindset of the society. The film spoke about a couple, Sachi and Vasudha who are in love and face moral policing. One of the pivotal characters in the movie, Alwin pressures Sachi to share his intimate details and later, Alwin tries to misbehave with Vasudha. Sachi seeks revenge and the film ends with an unconventional climax, questioning the patriarchal mindset of the society.
Shane Nigam essayed Sachi perfectly and earned a lot of praise for his performance. Directed by debutant Anuraj Manohar, 'Ishq' was lauded by the audience. Packed with a gripping narrative and interesting plot twists, the climax also received a big round of applause and was an eye-opener for many youngsters.
