Veteran actress
Shobana recently treated her followers to a fun and nostalgic challenge on her official social media page. Sharing a painting inspired by a classic scene from Mani Ratnam’s
Thalapathi, she asked fans to guess who the artist was. The image showed a young woman playing the tambura by the riverside, as a young man quietly admired her.
Shobana's guessing game sparks nostalgia
Alongside the painting, Shobana teased her audience with a note that read, "A painting by an actress, a friend, a director, a cameraman, a philanthropist- Guess who ? And the people in the painting....."
Soon her post was filled with comments. One guessed, "Revathy mam." Another one wrote, "Shobana chechi itself painted this.." A third one commented, "
Suhasini or Revathi, both match your description!!" Another comment read, "By your @revathyasha... just like you once said in an old interview "Ithente ashaya..ningade Revathi...pakshe ente asha aanu" and the painting brings alive Subbu and Surya from Thalapathi so perfectly..."
The big reveal by Shobana
Ending the suspense, Shobana later revealed in the comments that the digital painting was created by Suhasini. Shobana's reply read, "It's none other than Suhasini @suhasinihasan , who enrolled at the Madras Film Institute to learn cinematography and became the first woman to graduate from there."
