Remember the guy who played Fahad Faasil’s friend in Shyamaprasad’s
Artist, who turns out to have negative shades? Well, the film has sure been a turning point for
Sreeram Ramachandran, who played the character. Sreeram has bagged his first role as hero in debutant director Sajan Johny’s film, titled
Just Married. Like the title suggests, the film, which is also a comedy, is about the trials of a newly married couple.
“Yes, the director spotted me first in Artist.
Just Married will see me in an entirely different avatar, however. I play this character called Joe, who is very conscious of his appearance. He has a bit too many expectations about his future wife but finally meets someone who fulfils his dreams. They fall in love and get married but things don’t remain rosy,” explains Sreeram. The rest of the film is about how the couple deal with their issues.
An interesting feature of the film is that its director is a vfx director, who has worked for films like Amen. “
Just Married doesn’t offer much scope for visual effects, but much attention has been paid to the technical aspects,” says Sreeram. Fresh face Viviya Santh will be donning the character of Rose, the heroine in the film. “I’ve gained a bit of weight to look my part. I don’t think people will recognise me as the Artist actor,” he signs off.
