Tovino Thomas has wrapped up shooting for
Rohith VS’ Kala, which is touted to be a ‘man vs wild’ thriller. The movie, which is also backed by the actor, was shot extensively after the pandemic lockdown and was halted midway after Tovino suffered internal injuries while shooting its action sequences.
Tovino and team, who resumed the shoot earlier this month, has now completed its work, and the actor posted a heartfelt message about why the movie is special to him.
“Years ago with cinema in my dreams, I used to be in the company of this same team of Kala, discussing and making short films. Now, we have made cinema, and with the purest of passions,” he wrote on his social media page. “Kala was hard. Real hard. But this mutual love we had for cinema made it all possible. And I’m sure this team’s passion will make Kala all the more wholesome as it reaches you. Let's hope that happens soon.”
On the movie, Tovino had earlier told us, “It’s got a simple story, but has a lot of layers. It’s about how people behave with others. For instance, how you react with your parents wouldn’t be how you are with your children or friends, workers or a dog.”
Tovino plays a character named Shaji in the movie which has Ayal Njanalla actress
Divya Pillai essaying the role of his wife, Vidya. The film also has a dog named Bazigar in a pivotal role along with Pathinettam Padi actor Sumesh Moor.
