Tovino Thomas and Nazriya Nazim unveil ‘Gracias El Clasico’ film title amid Real Madrid vs. Barcelona clash

Actors Tovino Thomas and Nazriya Nazim surprised fans by unveiling the title of their new Malayalam film ‘Gracias El Clasico’ during the famous El Clasico football match between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid CF in Barcelona on Monday. The title was revealed with a fresh poster while both actors were present at the stadium. They also shared the poster on social media at the same time.‘Gracias El Clasico’ is directed by Muhsin Parari and also marks the first time Tovino and Nazriya are acting together in a film. The movie also marks Tovino’s reunion with Muhsin after their hit film ‘Thallumaala’. The script is written by Muhsin along with Zakariya Mohammed, who is known for ‘Sudani from Nigeria’.The film title launch during the football match created strong buzz because football is expected to play an important part in the story. Before the match, Tovino had tagged Nazriya on social media, making fans guess that a special announcement was coming soon.Speaking about the film recently, Tovino said Gracias El Clasico is mainly a relationship drama connected to family life. He said the story talks about cousins, marriage, romance and the emotions people face after relationships move past the usual “happily ever after” stage.“The film revolves around both characters and the people around them,” Tovino said, according to an India Today report. He also shared that the movie focuses on the married lives of millennials and 90s kids. According to him, Malayalam cinema has not explored this subject deeply in recent times.Nazriya’s character is also equally important in the film, and the story moves around both lead characters and their families. The movie has cinematography by Vishnu Thandassery, editing by Bles Thomas and music by Sushin Shyam.
