Tovino Thomas' Jatin Ramdas to become Kerala’s young Chief Minister in ‘L2 Empuraan’

Expectations are mounting for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s third directorial venture ‘L2: Empuraan’ and the latest reports have unveiled details into Tovino Thomas’ character in the Mohanlal starrer.

In a widely shared BTS picture from the shoot of ‘L2: Empuraan’, a flex board can be seen with the picture of Tovino Thomas which indicates that he will be playing the young chief minister of Kerala in the Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial. The flex board also left behind a major clue regarding the period where the event is happening, which is 2024.

Currently the shoot for ‘L2: Empuraan’ is going in full swing in Thiruvananthapuram, featuring the shoot of the sequence showcasing the death anniversary meeting of PK Ramdas.

‘L2: Empuraan’ will have some new casts including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Shine Tom Chacko, Sharafudheen, and Arjun Das. With the shoot nearing completion, the audiences are eagerly waiting for a teaser from the most awaited Mohanlal starrer.
Recently on Prithviraj Sukumaran’s birthday, Mohanlal unveiled the character look poster of the ‘Empuraan’ director who will reprise the role of Zayeed Masood in the movie.
Sharing the poster, Mohanlal penned a Tweet that read, “Happy birthday General! Forsaken by God…nurtured by the DEVIL! #ZayedMasood The Emperor's General. #L2E #EMPURAAN @PrithviOfficial.” Prithviraj Sukumaran re-Tweeted the poster with a caption that read, “Thank you Bhaijaan!.”
The character-look poster was inscribed with the words, “Forsaken by god. Nurtured by the devil,” indicating that the sequel may give a more detailed outlook regarding the back story of Mohanlal’s character Stephen Nedumpally aka Khureshi - Ab’raam.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s previous outing was with the comedy entertainer ‘Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil’ directed by Vipin Das.
