Tovino Thomas starrer ‘2018’ gets ready for a pan-India release; the Hindi trailer will arrive on this day

The Tovino Thomas-starrer survival thriller ‘2018’ has crossed Rs 100 crore at the worldwide box office, and the film is now preparing for a pan-Indian release. The makers have announced the trailer release date of the film in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada. The Hindi trailer, including others, will be launched on May 18, at 6 pm.

Directed by Jude Anthany Joseph, ‘2018’ is based on the horrific 2018 Kerala floods that claimed many lives. Tovino Thomas, who plays the lead role in the film, is ecstatic about the success. In an earlier interview with us, the actor said, "This movie is a tribute to all who were out there saving lives and helping each other: the thousands who were in the water rescuing people, supporting the relief camps, the fishermen, the police, the navy, the military, the government, and many more."

Tovino Thomas also opened up about the most challenging part of filming in 2018. The young actor stated that the airlifting and underwater sequences were challenging. "The airlifting portion was shot at night, in the rain. There were giant propellers suspended from the sky, and it is very tough to stand under them. We artists used to scream to turn down the propeller immediately once the shot was done because you were in the water, drenched, the wind was blowing, and it was not at all easy," he divulged to ETimes in a candid chat.
