Unni Mukundan’s ambitious project ‘Meppadiyan’ gets a release date!

Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Meppadiyan’ is finally heading to the theatres. The Complete Actor -Mohanlal launched the ‘Ayyappa’ song from the film and also announced the release date. The movie is slated for release on January 14, 2022.
“Presenting the lyrical video song of Lord Ayyappa from the movie Meppadiyan. Best wishes to dear Unni Mukundan, Vishnu Mohan and team.#Meppadiyan releasing in January 14th, 2022,” Mohanlal said in his social media post.
It has been over a years since Unni Mukundan has been waiting for his film ‘Meppadiyan’ and he was elated to finally announce the release date and seems like January 14 holds a huge significance in the actor’s life as well!

Meanwhile, speaking to ETimes earlier, Unni Mukundan had revealed that he will be playing the role of Jayakrishnan, a mechanic and garage owner. “I heard the story of ‘Meppadiyan’ from Vishnu long back. The project personally excited me a lot, as the role and the genre were something I haven’t attempted before in my career. We have conceived ‘Meppadiyan’ as a family entertainer,” he shared. The upcoming film is directed by debutant Vishnu Mohan.
