Unni Mukundan starrer ‘Meppadiyan’ has won the Best Indian Cinema award at Bangalore International Film Festival, in the Chithrabharathi, Indian Cinema Competition 2021 category. The film which was initially released in the cinemas is currently streaming on an OTT platform, and Unni Mukundan, who is both the lead actor and the producer of the film, has taken to his social media handle to announce the big win.

The actor also shared that he is proud that the film made it to the list and won the award. “I’m super proud to say that we competed with more than 100+ Indian films, which also are a part of the Indian Panorama Competition and Won ☺️.
