On the upcoming movie titled

Manoharam

, Anwar tells us, “Right now, technology has opened up several avenues of employment, but it has also depleted certain jobs. As these people are not in the mainstream, not much importance is given to their struggles by those in power. This film tells the story of such a commoner based in

Palakkad

and how he tries to sustain himself in the modern tech-driven era.”

Despite the gravity of the theme, Anwar stresses that it will be “a feel-good movie”. The project will go on floors on March 10 and will be shot entirely in Palakkad.

Incidentally, the movie also has three more directors as part of the cast – Basil Joseph, Jude Anthany Joseph and VK Prakash. Apart from them, Deepak Parambol and Delhi Ganesh also play vital characters in the movie. “We have also selected new artistes from the district to be part of the cast, because the culture of the place and the people are vital aspects of the story,” he says.
