Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Saniya Iyappan team up for a horror thriller

A few days ago, the team of Krishnankutty Pani Thudangi released an interesting animated teaser of their movie that had Vishnu Unnikrishnan’s character, who after watching a horror film with his friend, walks back home in the dead of the night, only to find that he is being followed by a mysterious person. The teaser, in a way, encapsulates what the film is about, tells its director Sooraj Tom.
Sooraj, who had earlier helmed Pa.Va and Ente Mezhuthiri Athazhangal, says, “Krishnankutty Pani Thudangi is a horror thriller which is laced with comedy. The movie’s plot tells a serious subject and it’s scripted as a tight thriller, even though it touches on all other genres. There’s also a few suspense elements that we want to keep under wraps right now.”
On the lead characters in the film, he says, “Vishnu essays the role of a home nurse while Saniya plays a powerful and pivotal role. There are also a few surprises in the casting that we don’t want to reveal right now.”
The team is planning to start the shoot on November 23 in and around Thodupuzha and the movie will also have outdoor locations. Incidentally, the film is scripted by music director Anand Madhusoodanan, who had composed for films such as Pa.Va, Njan Marykutty and Pretham. Sooraj says, “He is making his scriptwriting debut with the movie. We had this thread in mind way before the lockdown and wanted to do the project earlier but due to certain circumstances, we couldn’t. But now everything fell into place and we are on.”
