Viviya Santh is
Rahman’s heroine in the upcoming Charles Joseph-directorial Samara, which is currently being shot in Manali.
The actress, who is also a software engineer working in the Kochi office of a prominent MNC, came into the film industry after modelling for about nine years.
Viviya, who was born in Bengaluru and brought up in Kerala, originally hails from Kayamkulam. On her character in the movie, she tells us, “I play Honey, who is Rahman’s wife in the movie. She is quite a bold woman and is a virologist in the film. Revealing the other aspects of her character would spoil the suspense. While shooting in Manali, the styling for the character has been multi-layered coats and more. I have about a week's worth of shoot left.”
Earlier, Viviya has also starred in films like Vijay Superum Pournamiyum and Ittymani: Made in China. She has also starred in a Telugu movie named Angulika, which is expected to release in two months, and a Tamil thriller film named Six hours.
Viviya says, “The cinematographer of Samara, Sinu (Sidharth), was also part of Six Hours and he is the one who recommended me for this film. I am hoping to learn quite a bit by working with people like Rahman sir in this project. He helps me with improvisations while we shoot and I hope I do justice to the character.” Moothon fame Sanjana Dipu plays another female protagonist, a medical student, in the film.
