Last year was touted as the new dawn in Mollywood, what with 127 movie releases and a total business of about 600 crore. Naturally, expectations are soaring this year too. With the success of experimental films, Mollywood filmmakers are all set to try out new challenges ��� boosting interesting concepts and locales, breaking the superstar image and focusing on bringing out the performers.

While Mohanlal and Dileep have reinvented themselves to go with the time, Mammootty would be looking to get out of the rut from the last two years. Prithviraj, who is making waves in Bollywood, would like to add a few hits on his home turf as well. Diehard fans of all these superstars would be happy with each of them signing at least two commercial entertainers that will be released during festive seasons this year.
