2012 was not a lucky year for actress Padmapriya. The year not only saw the actress courting trouble one after the other, but she also failed to give a major hit. To add to it, her item dance in Amal Neerads Bachelor Party got her negative reviews. And when we thought her career graph was dipping with the wrong choices, she appears to be bouncing back with two major multi-starrer movies under her belt Siddiques
Ladies and Gentleman and Amal Neerads anthology movie,
Anju Sundarikal.
Padmapriya, who is currently shooting for
Ladies and Gentleman, will be sharing screen space with M-Towns biggies such as
Mohanlal, Meera Jasmine and Mamta Mohandas in the film. Though the actress was cautious not to reveal details about her role in the Mohanlal-starrer, she said, I play a girl called Jyothy and its absolutely a fun-filled role. Thats all I can say about it. Im having a crazy schedule, at the same time it is a lot of fun. Siddique Sir knows how to handle the story and the characters; and, of course, the audience have high expectations from him.
Padmapriya is also excited about teaming up with director
Amal Neerad for the second time after
Bachelor Party. Ive high hopes on my next movie,
Anju Sundarikal, with Amal Neerad. The movie will go on floors in February, says Padmapriya. Fahadh Faasil, Dulquer Salmaan, Nivin Pauly, Isha Sharvani and Biju Menon also play lead roles in the anthology.
With a couple of her recent movies having bombed at the box office, looks like Padmapriya has decided to go slow when it comes to choosing new projects. Its not only the story and the script that matter to me but also the people whom I work with. For instance, I have worked with Mohanlal in two other movies before. And each time, its a new experience working with him. So I am ready to wait for the right movie and the right script. I am not a person who wants to be in the limelight all the time. All I want is to be a part of good projects and be remembered for that, says Padmapriya.
