‘Pallichattambi’: Tovino Thomas starrer wraps up shoot, director says ‘See you in theatres’

Tovino Thomas’ highly anticipated upcoming film 'Pallichattambi' has completed production. The makers have wrapped up the shoot, and the film will now go into post-production.On Thursday, February 6, director Dijo Jose Antony announced the pack up of the big-budget Malayalam actioner 'Pallichattambi’. He took to his Instagram account and dropped a series of pictures taken with the cast and crew, and announced the wrap. In the post, the director also talked about the journey of the film so far, and added about the ‘hard work’ they have put in. “From the first shot in Thodupuzha, to the final patch shoot across states, the long road of #Pallichattambi comes to an end today. Starring Tovino Thomas, ‘Pallichattambi’ features Kayadu Lohar as the leading lady. The actress who shot to fame with her fine performance in the Tamil blockbuster 'Dragon' seems to be playing a village belle in ‘Pallichattambi. The makers recently dropped her character poster and said, "And then, there was love... Love for a character, for a world, and for the soul of Pallichattambi!" This clearly hints that the audience can expect a heartwarming love story in the actioner. The cast also includes Vijayaraghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alexander, and several other prominent actors.Slated for release on April 9, this year, the film will present actor Tovino Thomas in a never-before-seen avatar. According to reports, the story of the film is set in the 1950s-60s period. The film is being released in five languages, including Malayalam.On the technical front, the film's script has been penned by S Suresh Babu. The cinematography has been handled by Tijo Tomy, and editing is by Sreejith Sarang. Jakes Bejoy will be composing the music for the film. The production design is by Dileep Nath.
