Police Junior movie review highlights: A well-intentioned film, marred by poor acting and execution
Police Junior is a movie that deals with the widespread drug problem amongst the youngsters of the State and how the administration tries to deal with it through SPC (Students Police Cadets). Lining up a cast that's mostly new, the film shows how even innocent school kids get drawn into the drug mafia nets. The film, extends up to 143 minutes.
However, the film is a tiresome watch, especially because of poor acting and immature storytelling.
1x1 polls
It starts off like documentary, with an intro by P Vijayan IPS, who talks about the need of student police cadets. The very first dialogue in it is a borrowed one from a hit film, which shows how, hardly any original creativity or work has gone into the writing or direction.
Without sensing the winds of the progressive times, it even resorts to make fun of a gay couple, that too through a scene that's squeezed into the first half with no added merit. And how many more of such thoughtless sequences to follow? One cannot help wondering at a much awaited intermission.
