Yuvvh-fame composer duo Sreejith-Sachin comes together for the music of Madhura Naranga. The songs in the film are just as its title while the likeability is sorely amiss for a few of them, the sweetness of the rest acts as perfect balance, sealing the zeal. The opening track Oru Naal Ini Neram by Haricharan and Sooraj Santhosh sounds like a rehashed version of Nenjodu Cherthu.
The old wine in the new bottle is sadly short on novelty and appeal, though the singers have attempted pumping in as much life to it via vocals. The second song Kankankalil by Aswin, Vijesh and Swetha has a certain degree of likable buoyancy about it, especially at the intro melody. Swethas mellifluous rendition is what ups its oomph factor, and to an extend, the bilingual lyrics also work well for it.
Melle Vannu Konjiyo, the next track by Sooraj, Santhosh and Roshni is plain average in terms of music. Sreejith Edavan and Reshma Menon render the following track Aarum Kaanathe, with which the album hits its mellow note. Reshmas delicate delivery of her portions is the highlight of the song. Ee Koottil, sung by Madhu Balakrishnan, also falls into the same league.
The best composition of the album is Oh Thirayukayano, the last song that is truly melodious and sums up the wholesome feel of the movie. It also boasts of some soulful rendition by Shashwat Singh and Roshini Suresh. Everything from the tune and lyrics to voice contribute towards mesmerizing the listener. Its bilingual version Vazhvom Thazhvom, on which most of the film's sentimentality quotient is banked spot on, is also equally captivating.
The albums repeat value is limited to a few songs, but they are good enough to make it a winner.
