Nivin Pauly's Padavettu has music by Govind Vasantha and rap by Vedan

Music buffs across Kerala are eagerly waiting to listen to the magic of

musician Govind vasantha

, who is known for his musical skills, in his upcoming Malayalam movie Padavettu staring Nivin Pauly. The team has successfully completed the recording sessions of the movie on Sunday.

Apart from Govind, the movie also introduces popular rapper and Vocie of the Voiceless fame Vedan to Malayalam cinema. The lyrics of the songs in the film are written by Anwar Ali. The other songs are crooned by Ann Amie, Bhavana, Anusree, CJ Kuttapan, Sunil Mathai and Shahbas Aman.

Govind had earlier told us that he is super excited to compose for the movie. He said, "Padavettu has an amazing storyline and it is a project that I have been looking forward to. It has six to seven songs. The way the story is told is remarkable. More than working on it, I am eager to watch it on big screen."

Padavettu directed by Liju Krishna will launch Sunny Wayne as producer in Malayalam film industry. Sunny and Nivin had earlier shared screen space in Rosshan Andrrews’ period film Kayamkulam Kochunni. If Sunny played the villain in their previous collaboration, he will be bankrolling the upcoming project.

On the movie, Liju, who is also the scribe of Padavettu, said that he has “tried to observe and present the contemporary society in an interesting way”. “The movie will be set in a rural landscape. Nivin will play naadan character in the movie,” Liju said, explaining that it will be a performance-oriented role.
