Ram Subramaniyam (Atul Kulkarni) is a writer who does translation of South movies for living. His relationship with his wife Ragini is on the verge of a divorce. Ragini wants to end the relationship while Ram is still optimistic about their future together. For fulfilling his work commitments, Ram requires an assistant and that’s how he meets Sonal (Sagarika Ghatge). There is nothing common between Ram and Sonal besides the ‘divorce’ factor. And what happens next in the life of Ram, Sonal, Ragini and Samit is the story of ‘Premachi Goshta’.
Review: The movie is ‘young’, but the concept is very ‘mature’, as all the characters are almost reaching their 40’s. Director Satish Rajwade has the guts to showcase the romance at such crucial age. The story is simple and dialogues adds to its USP. Camera, background score and costume has made this movie more presentable. The script is perfect to the T.
Atul Kulkarni is superb in his first romantic character as Ram. Sagarika Ghatge makes her presence felt in her debut Marathi movie as Sonal. Initially her diction hurts the ears but it also gives more authenticity to her role. Sulekha Talvalkar as ‘Ragini’ and Rohini Hattangadi suit their roles effortlessly.
In short, this is a simple, sweet love story. It is young at heart at the same time mature in presentation. This movie can offer you a ‘sweet break’!!
