Did you know Tejas Deoskar wanted to be an army officer?

After directing Madhuri Dixit in his Marathi directorial Bucket List, Tejas Deoskar has taken Bollywood's route. He has been shooting for Emraan Hashmi starrer Ground Zero.

Talking about his transition from one industry to another, he had told us, "Marathi cinema has gone beyond the Marathi speaking audiences, but we can't deny the fact that Hindi cinema has a much wider reach. So, when you make a shift from one industry to another, your judgement about the tastes and perspectives of the audience changes. You have to tune yourself differently. However, the technical processes across film industries are similar. The scale of a film makes a difference too. I believe a bigger canvas offers you bigger opportunities. I think the process of filmmaking is more evolved in Bollywood; it is more defined. I would certainly like to incorporate the good filmmaking practices from the Hindi industry into a regional project I work on next."



But not many people know that filmmaking was not Tejas' first career choice. He wanted to get into the armed forces, and become an officer. Interestingly, he has done architecture as well. But destiny had some other plans.

Co-incidentally, his upcoming film Ground Zero is a military drama. And Emraan is playing the role of an officer.
