Among those who were seen lighting up diyas included Marathi stars Sai Tamhankar, Sayali Sanjeev, Prarthana Behere, Chinmay Mandlekar, among others lit candles at 9 pm for 9 minutes on April 5. Sharing a photo of himself holding a diya along with his son, Chinmay wrote "ज्यांना जन्म दिलाय त्यांना या अंधाराकडून प्रकाशाकडे न्यायचं आहे.
