Abhyankar's role in his last film to be left incomplete
Late Marathi actor Anand Abhyankar who passed away in a road mishap recently was part of the upcoming Marathi film 'Maat'. It is now learnt that director Manohar Sarvankar has decided to leave Anand's character incomplete in the film. The movie, which also marks Bollywood actor Isha Koppikar's debut in the Marathi film industry, had Anand playing the role of an ad filmmaker. Talking to TOI Manohar says, 'Anand was essaying the role of an ad filmmaker in my film and shared screen space with Isha and Sameer Dharmadhikari who is Isha's co-star. Though most of the shoot with Anand is complete, there was one last scene which we needed to shoot, and was scheduled to take place on the day of the accident. The shot is quite crucial for the storyline, but we have decided to leave it incomplete, as we did not feel right to substitute Anand's role with another actor.'Ironically, Anand had replaced late actor Sudhir Joshi's unfinished role in the film Matichya Chuli due to Joshi's untimely demise some years ago.
