Marathi actresses are increasingly proving to be a hit among the Hindi television serial makers who opt to choose them for playing motherly roles.

Usha Nadkarni - Usha plays mother to Manav Deshmukh (Hiten Tejwani) in the serial ���������Pavitra Rishta��������� and mother-in-law to Archana (Ankita Lokande).Her role is that of a mean woman and she carries it off with much ������lan.
Savita Prabhune ��������� Savita, who has dome many roles in Hindi and Marathi serials, is a popular face on Indian television. In the 90s she was also a popular Marathi film actress. Currently she plays the mother of Archana in ���������Pavitra Rishta���������.

Manasi Salvi - Manasi plays mother to Aditya Harish Kumar (Nakuul Mehta) in the serial ���������Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara���������. Although she is quite young (she is in her early 30s) to play an on screen mother to a married man, Manasi has no qualms about it and has moulded herself into the character rather perfectly.
