I took up the role immediately, says Sachin Pilgaonkar

Sachin Pilgaonkar, one the senior actors in the movie Ranangan, was last seen in the movie . After that he was seen playing a small role in the film Ti Ani Itar too. But talking about Ranangan, he plays the role of Shamrao Deshmukh which is quite different from the roles he has been rendering in the movies. Sachin Pilgaonkar shares how he was chosen for the role of Shamrao and why this movie has helped change perspective about his acting. About that he tells “I am thankful that audiences will now see a different side of me through this movie and open a new arena of roles. I always wanted to play a character like this, but I did not want to ask for it. I would prefer if a strong role came to me rather than me approaching for it, and that’s what happened when I got a call from Swwapnil Joshi about acting in the film. Along with the director Rakesh Sarang, they decided that I was perfect for the role of Shamrao. I had no second thoughts to it and immediately said yes to it. It was as if I got what I wanted, through this film and acting in it.”
