Although wars are fought on the battlefield, the Marathi film ‘Ranangan’, a modern-day spin on the epic ‘Mahabharata’, is about a battle fought within a family. Just like ‘Mahabharata’, it begins within four walls and then, eventually turns into a big conflict. Directed by Rakesh Sarang, the film features Marathi stars
Sachin Pilgaonkar and
Swwapnil Joshi, while the rest of the cast includes Siddharth Chandekar, Pranali Ghogare, Suchitra Bandekar, Anand, Mukta Barve, Prarthana Behere and Sanjay Narvekar.
The film’s songs promise to reverberate in the minds of the audience for a long time. They have been composed by Avadhoot Gupte and Rahul Ranade. ‘Ranangan’ is produced by Karishma Jain, Joe Rajan, 52 Weeks Entertainment and Harvey Films, and co-produced by Global Sports Entertainment Media Solutions (GSEAMS), Arjun Singgh Baran, Swwapnil Joshi and Kartik Nishandar.
‘Ranangan’ releases across theatres in Maharashtra on May 11.
