Marathi films outnumber other regional films at IFFI 2019

The 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) is scheduled to be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. As part of the Indian Panorama at IFFI, five Marathi films are selected this year, largest in the number of regional cinema.

The films include Tujhya Aaila, Anandi Gopal, Bhonga, Mai Ghat: Crime No 103/2005 and Photo-Prem.The number of Marathi films is second to Hindi cinema at the festival this year. Other regional films include two Tamil films — three Bengali and three Malayalam movies along with Paniya, Kannada, Irula, Khasi/Garo language films.
The film lovers numbering about 10, 000 will get an opportunity to witness 200 best films from 76 countries at this Golden Jubilee celebrations of IFFI.
