'Monsoon Football': Amol Kagne learns Gujarati from his friends for the film

After bagging some award-winning projects like ‘Halaal‘, and ‘Lathe Joshi', Marathi cinema's assistant director-turned-producer, Amol Kagne is now up for his full-fledged onscreen debut film 'Monsoon Football' to be directed by Milind Ukey.

After bagging some award-winning projects like ‘Halaal‘, and ‘Lathe Joshi', Marathi cinema's assistant director-turned-producer, Amol Kagne is now up for his full-fledged onscreen debut film 'Monsoon Football' to be directed by Milind Ukey.
Speaking about his role in the film, Amol said, I am portraying a role of a Gujarati husband of one of the women football lovers, who are all housewives and play this game in traditional Indian sarees."
Elaborating further, he added, "It is a funny character.

He believes in god-men. I trained to get the accent right with help of few of my Gujarati friends and now I am able to speak in an accent which is required for the film."
This will be his first full-fledged debut film. “I have done several theatres, but this is my first film where I am acting. The content of the film is amazing and is based on women empowerment and our director, Milind Ukey has done a brilliant job in the direction. 'Monsoon Football' is one of the best films and I am fortunate to act in this film,” he said.
Besides Amol Kagne, the Milind Ukey directorial has strong star cast which includes, Sagarika Ghatge, Chitrashi Rawat, Vidya Malavade, Delnaz Irani and Usha Naik.
