Multiple nominations for Redu in State Film Awards

After going international with participation at many popular international film festivals, the Marathi movie ‘

Redu

’ has received nominations in 9 categories at

Maharashtra State Film Awards

2018. The awards are given by the state’s Ministry of cultural affairs, to Marathi language films and artists.



The nominations for the movie include –

Best Make up :

Shrikant Desai

for which the movie has already won an award.

Best Actor :- Shashank Shende and Chhaya Kadam

Best Lyricist :- Guru Thakur

Best Music and Background score Vijay Gavande

Best Singer : Ajay Gogavale

Best Writer : Sanjay Navgire
and nomination in top ten movies

Earlier, the film was screened at IFFI in Indian Panorama, Kolkata International film festival and Cairo International film festival in Egypt. It was the only Indian film at Cairo IFF in International competition category, and the only Marathi film in Indian Competition category at Kolkata IFF. The film stars Shashank Shende, Chhaya Kadam, Gauri Konge, Vinamra Bhabal, Mrunmayee Supal in pivotal roles.

Sagar Vanjari has made his directorial debut through this movie.
