Actor Smita Tambe has been suffering from pigmentation and hair issues, all thanks to her being true to her character in her recent Marathi film.
During the film's shoot, the actor was advised to sit in the sun from 9 am to 3.30 pm to get a tan. The exercise which went on for two months has taken a toll on the actor.

According to Smita, along with the tan, she also had to lose weight and not wash her hair for about a month. 'It was essential for the role. Sitting in sun helped me get that perfect look. But I must admit I am having a tough time recovering. My skin has a lot of pigmentation for which I am undergoing treatment and also my hair is now damaged.'
