Smita Tambe bags lead role in Akshay Kumar's '72 Mail'

Akshay Kumar's Marathi venture 72 Mail is complete. We hear that Marathi actress Smita Tambe is playing the lead role in the film. Smita who has worked in films like Tukaram, Jogwa and Dhoosar earlier was approached by Akshay for the film.
72 Mail is based on a novel by Ashok Vhatkar. Smita's character is based on a strong willed woman who sets off on an arduous journey of 72 miles to reach her maternal house.
It is a tale which depicts the psyche of a lady to travel beyond her limitations while facing the odds that cross her path. Undying hope and positivity are her strengths that help her achieve the impossible feat.
Sources say that Smita was extremely comfortable on the sets while working with Rajiv Patil since the actor has earlier worked with the director in Jogwa.
