A chance audition she attended in Pune and Mithila Naik from Curchorem came out with her ticket to the film world. Thrilled at bagging the offer to work in the Marathi film 'Aadesh', Mithila, who plays the protagonist���������s wife, says as part of the preparations for the role, she was told to watch films such as 'Gangaajal'. Aadesh is based on the life of Advocate Ujjwal Nikam, the famous public prosecutor who has fought sensational cases in the past.
When in school, Mithila���������s acting skills lays untapped. It was only once she entered college that she came out of her shell. ���������I took part in dancing and singing activities. I realised that I had talent for the arts,��������� she says.
The 29 year old Mithila who works in the banking sector has acted in two short films in the past. She says her family has been extremely supportive of her choices. ���������The film world is not looked at favourably. Many think it���������s a bad world. But being in it I can say it all depends on you and how well you adjust to it.���������
Mithila currently is going through two film scripts. She says it would be too early to talk about her future plans but she adds ���������If I get good offers, who knows, I may plunge full time into films.���������
