‘The Shivaji Trilogy’: Riteish Deshmukh and Nagraj Manjule to come together for this historical film

Marathi cinema's popular filmmaker Nagraj Manjule, who is well known for films like 'Sairat' and 'Fandry', is now all set to take the audience on a historical ride with his upcoming film 'The Shivaji Trilogy' starring Bollywood star Riteish Deshmukh. Announcing the same on his Twitter handle, Riteish wrote, "अभिमानाने सादर करत आहोत... तुम्हा सर्वांचा आशिर्वाद असू द्या.... जय शिवराय !!"
Today, on the occasion of the appearance day of the Maratha ruler, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which is also celebrated as 'Shivaji Jayanti', the 'Mauli' star took to his Twitter handle to share the teaser for the film which will feature him under the direction of actor-director Nagraj Manjule.The film which is titled ‘The Shivaji Trilogy’ will have music given by hit duo Ajay-Atul.

The trilogy is an Aatpat production (whose first venture into production was Manjule’s 'Sairat') and will be amongst Riteish’s biggest outings in recent times.
The first installment of the film is slated to release in 2021.
