Veena Jamkar bags two big banner films

Actress Veena Jamkar, who was noticed in films like Lal Baugh Paral and Valu, is in celebration mode these days. The actress who has always maintained a low profile now has two big banner films to her credit this year. She received rave reviews for her last film Tukaram, where she played Tukaram���������s first wife, and now she���������s awaiting the release of Mahesh Manjrekar���������s Kutumb. ���������I am extremely happy and lucky to have got an opportunity to be working with two big banner films in a single year,��������� says Veena. Did she have her eye on big banner films? ���������No, it is not that I made a conscious effort on doing big banner films but there���������s no denying the fact that such reach out to the audience in a better way,��������� she says. In a recent interview, filmmakers Mahesh Manjrekar and Chandrakant Kulkarni were all praises for Veena. ���������It makes me happier that they are saying good things about me even in my absence!��������� Veena smiles.The actress laughs as she narrates how viewers find it hard to believe that it���������s the same actress in Lal Baugh Paral, Valu and Tukaram. ���������I take it as a compliment. Recently, I was anchoring for a stage show. I had two looks planned ��������� one for before the interval and one for after. After the show, several people from the audience met the organisers and said that they liked both the anchors; some even debated about who was better!��������� she laughs. ���������I give a lot of thought to my look for every film. I work hard on it and till now, I have managed to look different in all my films,��������� she adds.
