Vikram Phadnis celebrates one year of 'Smile Please': The film was a tribute to my mother

Vikram Phadnis's directorial 'Smile Please' has completed one glorious year on July 19. It starred Mukta Barve, Prasad Oak, Lalit Prabhakar in lead.
Reminiscing about the film's journey. Filmmaker Vikram Phadnis took to his Instagram handle to share the film's poster. He captioned the post as "19th July -2019 1 year ago today I shared with the world a story I had been waiting to tell ...❤️❤️It’s been a journey of sorts from the day We decided to make this film ..and in the process made memories of a lifetime ! 🙌🙌I can’t thank enough the cast and crew who did everything it took to make this a beautiful experience ..🙏The film was a tribute to my mother because of whom I wrote this story ..🙏 THANK YOU 🙏"

The film promises to be an emotional journey with light-hearted moments. The film follows the struggle of Nandini Joshi, (played by Mukta Barve) a photographer, who is diagnosed with early-onset dementia, to find sense of purpose and dignity.
Produced under the banner of Hashtag Film Studios & Krityavat Productions. It also featured stars like Satish Alekar, Aditi Govitrikar, Trupti Khamkar, Mayuresh Wadkar, and Bijay Anand in key roles.
