Bollywood actor Yashpal Sharma of the Ajay Devgn starrer movie 'Gangaajal' fame and who will be making his debut in the Marathi film 'Ajoba', has a strong Marathi connect. The actor is married to a Maharashtrian in real life and is hence familiar with Marathi language and culture. He says, 'My wife Pratibha is from Jalgaon in Khandesh and thanks to her I got introduced to the Marathi way of life.
I have also picked up a few terms like 'Mazhi bayko Marathi ahe and jevan de'. But that's all that I can speak in Marathi. Pratibha also made me watch some good Marathi films like
Smita Patil's classic 'Umbartha' and the recent 'Shwas' and 'Valu'.'
So did it also make his entry smoother in the Marathi industry? 'Having a Marathi connect certainly helped.'
