Birthday in two time zones was his best: Rahul Ranade

Rahul Ranade once celebrated his birthday more than 24 hours. Recalling his most memorable birthday, the music composer who turned 52 on May 23, told a leading Marathi daily, Rahul says it was his 20^th Birthday. Back then, Dr. Jabbar Patel directed play Ghasiram Kotwal was touring the states. Therefore, for Rahul, the youngest member of the group, celebrations started right from his flight journey. Not only the group members, but fellow passengers also joined his celebrations. When they landed in the States, it was still May 23 giving him that additional day. “The first show of our play was on Broadway, and I considered it as a memorable gift I received on my birthday,” he tells the daily. The composer has more than 200 plays and many Marathi and Hindi songs to his credit.
