Former deputy chief minister and NCP leader RR Patil’s death has left a vaccum, not merely in the political circles, but also in people’s hearts. Those, who had a chance to interact with him closely, remember his simple, innocent, winsome ways very fondly. Music composer and writer Kaushal Inamdar is one of those who got emotional remembering the down-to-earth political leader. ‘My father was returning from Kolhapur. Co-passenger sitting opposite him lovingly offered him homemade bhakari and mutton. The man was #RRPatil…. This happened in mid 90s in the Mahalaxmi Express. #rrpatil,’ tweeted Inamdar after the demise of RR Patil, who was popularly known as Aba.
Born on 16 August 1957 in the village of Anjani, in the Tasgaon taluka, Sangli district in Maharashtra, Patil obtained a BA from Shantiniketan College Sangli. He died on Feb 16 due to oral cancer at Lilavati hospital.
