'Sarvann' trailer: Amrinder Gill's journey from evil to good

The official trailer of Priyanka Chopra's first Punjabi production 'Sarvann' and it looks quite impressive. The film sees Amrinder Gill playing a ruthless contract killer, who is trying to make it big in Canada. Back home in Punjab, he falls in love with a traditional Punjabi girl, played by Simi Chahal. However, the twist in the tale is that her marriage is already fixed with a Sikh boy (Ranjit Bawa) who is waiting to get settled before getting hitched.
Soon, tragedy strikes in Amrinder's life and his world falls apart. Disowned by his near and dear ones, he realises that the wheels of fortune have turned. Understanding that his past misdeeds have caught up with him, he sets out to seek redemption.
The film has a fair share of humour but is predominantly a drama that talks about the importance of karma. The subject has often been explored in films, so it would be interesting to see if 'Sarvann' has anything new to offer.
Directed by Karaan Guliani, written by Amberdeep Singh and produced by Priyanka Chopra, Dr Madhu Chopra and Deepshikha Deshmukh, 'Sarvann' is all set to hit the screens this Lohri.
