Expressing the famous Punjabi love for music, leading Punjabi actors have collaborated for songs that talk about compassion and keeping the chin up in troubled times of the pandemic. Neeru Bajwa and Sargun Mehta have combined a predominantly female cast for the song, Jitange Hosle Naal rendered by Afsana Khan. The video of the song also features a lady officer from Punjab police.
Another song, Hausla Na Chhadin, by Ashok Masti casts 31 industry people, largely male actors like Gurpreet Ghuggi, Roshan Prince, Jasbir Jassi, Jaswinder Bhalla, Harish Verma and filmmakers like Smeep Kang.
While Gippy Grewal's song Nach Nach may not be directly linked to #coronaconcerns, it was meant to provide "entertainment and light hardheartedness to people stuck at home and in despair in the lockdown," says Gippy.
