His seductive debut single Jadon Holi Jai is a remodelled version of the 70s romantic Noor Jehan smash taken from the Pakistani movie Att Khudha Da Vair. Having paired up with internationally award winning producer Rishi Rish, the new single re-launches a classic track and introduces it to a modern contemporary pop audience. Jadon Holi Jai still sounds nostalgic and Usmans vocals add a beautiful texture melding strong bollywood style with a nod to his Sufi roots. Usman transforms the feel of the track with a male vocal as opposed to the traditional female version, and it works.
Usman explains, Jadon Holi Jai was one of my fathers most loved songs and it just felt right to go with this song as my official launch into the world of music also showed a sign of respect and acknowledged his support for my career. I presented the track to my management team and Rishi and am very excited about the new journey its taking me on.
Rishi Rich says, Usman is one of the most dedicated and talented singer songwriters I have encountered. His sound I think is a mix of Master Saleem, Sonu Niigaam with a Sufi flavour. I am a big fan already.
