Gauthami enters small screen

Finally Gauthami — like many yesteryear actresses — is entering the small screen and returning to acting with Abirami Ramanathan’s mega serial titled Abirami.
Kamal Haasan switched on the camera while Rama Narayan, president of the TFPC, gave the first clap at the launch of the serial.
A beaming Gauthami said, “Many people have been asking me about when I’m going to return to acting and this is my first step in that direction.” The creative part of the serial will be managed by the veteran serial specialist and former actress, Kutty Padmini, whose daughter has written the serial. Says producer Abirami Ramanathan, “We have made serials like Devathai and a few others but now, we have decided to produce more serials as their reach is terrific.” Here’s wishing Gauthami all the best for her new venture!
