Lakshmi needs to tone it down

Lakshmi Rai is making waves in Malayalam, but her heart is in Mumbai where she has bought a posh apartment and a swanky car. Also, she’s hunting for roles in Bollywood.
She has two Christmas releases in Malayalam with the titans of the tinsel world — Mammootty (Chattambinadu) and Mohanlal (Ivide Swargam Aanu) — but still, she’s playing down her films in Kerala.
In all her interviews, she gushes about how she has been flooded with Bollywood offers, and her closeness to Dhoni.The latest, we hear, is that the Malayalam superstars are so fed up of her boasting about her Mumbai connections that they now want to be paired with other actresses!
Actress Shriya Saran has been paid twice what Lakshmi gets in Malayalam to lure her to the backwaters. A leading director in Malayalam said, “Sometime ago, the current numero uno Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif had played Mammootty’s heroine. My advice to Lakshmi is not to run down Malayalam films. Instead, she has to be proud to be a part of them. And if she is really doing a Bollywood film, she should at least reveal the name of the film and its hero!”
In Kollywood too, people seem to be asking the same question — will the lady tell us what she is doing in Bollywood?
