"In this film, Nithya plays a village girl who is chosen from among 12 others for a unique reality show that would broadcast her daily life for a month," explains Manuel George, who along with Sunny Joseph, has scripted for the film.
The scribe explains that the film has a social relevance as currently television channels are flooded with reality shows mostly offering similar content. "So, inspired by Western shows, actress Shweta Menon, who plays a programme producer in the movie, conceives this idea of showcasing a person's life," he reveals.
Unni Mukundan (Bombay, March 12) plays the male lead in this film that also stars actors like Siddique, Baburaj, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Innocent and Baiju. The film marks Unni's first movie as a hero and the young actor is obviously thrilled. "I play a junior artiste and a choreographer who stammers a lot," he says, adding that his role offers him a lot of scope for performance. And there's not much doubt for that considering it is the award-winning director Rajeev who is going to be calling the shots. The filmmaker hit headlines for being the first in the country to shoot an entire film on a steadycam (Ivar). He promises to film Thalsamayam Oru Pennkutty too, with some of the latest technical enhancements.
