The actor has sung a song in K Manju’s Shylu, which stars Golden Star Ganesh and Bhamaa. According to G, as Ganesh is often called, Puneeth has sung a four-minute solo song, under the music direction of Jassie Gift, the lyrics of which go, ‘Pada pada kannada padane, naanu rathnan pada kelkondu belidavane (Words, words, Kannada words. I grew up listening to the famous poet Ratna’s words).’
The lyrics of the song, explains Ganesh, are about Kannada language and culture. The actor adds that the song has been picturized on him during a bus journey.
