The story behind Ann Augustine movie's title

It is a movie with an unusually long name. Friday 11.11.11, Alappuzha, the name of the movie which is being shot in and around Alleppey by director Lijin Jose with Fahadh Faasil and Ann Augustine in the lead, reads almost like a newspaper dateline.
The producer of the movie, Sandra Thomas, says there is a story behind the name. “Before we finalised on Friday…, we were planning to do yet another movie.However, that got postponed. It was on the same day that director Lijin, scriptwriter Najeeb Koya and me, who are good friends, got together and happened to hear Najeeb’s script. We met on a Friday, November 11, 2011, at Alleppey. Since we took the decision to make the movie on that day, we thought of giving the movie a title connecting the day, date, year and place,” she says.
