After the success of his Aadukalam, National Award-winning director Vetri Maaran is busy working on the script of his next project, which will be produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri. In an earlier interview, Vetri had said, “It will be a 120-minute film and is inspired from one of Na Muthukumar’s poems. It will be shot in two months and has no songs. It’s about the lives of those who are in search of comfort and luxury and those who send their near and dear ones abroad!”
But, the buzz in Kollywood now is that Vetri is working on a period film for Dayanidhi Alagiri, and the producer wants him to cast mass heroes and not newcomers.
When CT contacted, Vetri said, “I don’t want to talk about this project now. I’m still working on the script and the casting will take place only after the script is in its place.”
