Bollywood has been yearning for a new addition to its long list of horror flick for quite some time now. And Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi-starrer, Amavas, is set to fill this desire, on a different date! The spine-chilling flick, which has already given fans the chill with its trailer, is all set to hit the theatres on February 1, 2019. The horror flick, which was slated to release on January 11, was postponed as the makers try to add some final touches to up the fear bar.
Talking about postponing the release, director Bhushan Patel said, “We are trying for top-class VFX and that is time-consuming. There is no point releasing the film in a hurry, and we want to ensure that the end product is up to the mark.”
Starring Sachiin Joshi, Vivan Bhathena, Nargis Fakhri, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, Mona Singh, and Ali Asgar, Amavas is touted to be a spine-chilling horror film with an element of suspense. In fact, it was shot in a castle at Sussex (London), which is said to be haunted in real-life!
Bhushan, who has helmed horror movies like Alone (2015), Ragini MMS 2 (2014) and 1920: The Evil Returns (2012), is all set to make this the new addition a promising success. Talking about the appreciation that the film’s trailer has stirred, the renowned director added, “We are happy that the trailer has been received well and that makes us all the more responsible to give the audience a good film. I really hope that people like it.”
Amavas has been produced by Viiking Media and Entertainment in association with Simply West UK and Weeping Grave.
